Guests need to arrive at their station at least 20 minutes prior to departure.

The daily round trip train ride is one hour and 15 minutes round-trip with just the train ride, or two hours and 30 minutes with the train and mine tour.
Coach section | Box cars with bench seating. Some are completely open air, some have canopies. Seating is first-come, first-serve. In the spring, fall, and winter some are enclosed with Plexiglas and heated. Wheelchair accessible.
First Class Parlor cars | Fully enclosed and heated dining cars. They are carpeted, with tables and padded chairs. 2-tops and 4-tops. Conductors will seat parties together as much as is possible. Guests receive snacks and a soft drink in this section, and we carry a beer and wine bar. We accept cash or credit cards on board. Wheelchair accessible.
A TUNNEL TO ANOTHER TIME... Experience the 'Old West' as it was.
Mine tours are about an hour long, involve about ¾ mile of walking, and are not Wheelchair accessible. Guests should wear walking shoes and a light jacket. The mine is a constant 44 degrees.
Lebanon mine tour | This tour spends about half the time touring the outer buildings (Manager’s office, dry room, and mill), and half the time inside the mine. Groups go about 500 feet back into the mountain.
Extended Lebanon mine tour | This tour spends the entire time in the mine, and guests go about 1,000 feet inside the mountain.
Everett mine tour | This tour goes only about 200 feet into a mine, and then guests can pan for gold – and take home anything they find! Guests also receive a hot dog, lemonade, and chips for lunch.
Hike & Ride
Thursdays: June 22, 29, July 6, 13, 20, 27, August 3, 10, and 17
Guests will hike down from Silver Plume, stopping along the way for a tour of the Everett mine, gold panning, and a hot dog, lemonade, and chips for lunch. Then they will finish their hike down to Georgetown, where they will jump on the train and return to Silver Plume, arriving by 5:00 pm. Private guide, with 10 guests maximum each day.
Mother’s Day Weekend

All moms receive a rose and a small box of chocolates
June 3, 4, 9, 10, and 11
Engines will be set up in the SP rail yard for photos, a model train display in the SP car museum, ‘living exhibits,’ and possibly a train robbery along the route.
Father’s Day Weekend

Dads will get a special surprise

For little kids, at the Silver Plume station we set up a haunted house, bouncy castle, face painting, and have pumpkins for everyone to take home.

We give out a complimentary hotdog or brat to every rider. Beer tasting for adults at the Devil’s Gate station.
Santa’s North Pole Adventure

Santa, Mrs. Claus, and their helpers ride the train and talk to the kiddos. We have a nice fire pit, and chestnuts roasting at the station. Everyone gets hot chocolate, cookies, and candy canes. Kids get a little ornament to take home with them.
Santa’s Lighted Forest

Santa is on this train too. We’ve set up a lights at the station and have a great light show along the route.
